RP-EP Red Phosphorus Flame Retardant with Epoxy Resins
RP-EP is a brownish-red paste, formulated by blending stabilized, microencapsulated red phosphorus with an epoxy resin carrier. This paste form provides a safer and more convenient way to handle red phosphorus in a liquid state, eliminating the associated hazards of working with red phosphorus powder. The thixotropic nature of the product prevents sedimentation and facilitates the process of re-homogenization after extended periods of storage.
For enhanced workability, particularly in terms of flow properties, the product can be warmed up to temperatures ranging from 50°C to a maximum of 80°C.
